Hi, I'm Jennifer.

Founder of ASK Therapy and an Amazon #1 bestselling author.

Here’s the hard truth about postpartum mental health:

Many moms who are struggling in the postpartum are often misdiagnosed and mistreated as a result of missing one very important factor.

Leaving them feeling frustrated and alone in their suffering as they try to figure out how to feel better while juggling the important job of mothering.

"At least you have a healthy baby", is a familiar comment shared by the mothers we serve.

This phrase can feel dismissive to moms who are dealing with complex emotions from a traumatic birth.

The distressing symptoms that moms experience in the postpartum are warning signs and provide information about a bigger story.

The bigger story is linked to their birth experience.

The problem I have identified is that either moms are not asked about their birth experience or it is overlooked as an important contributing factor to the presenting symptoms.

So, what does all of this mean?

Instead of being treated effectively for birth trauma, they are being diagnosed and treated for postpartum depression and/or anxiety.

If you are struggling in the postpartum with distressing symptoms of either postpartum depression or anxiety, and you are trying to make sense out of why you are feeling what you are feeling and...

...how to feel better so you can move forward without carrying the weight of your birth experiencthen you are in the right place.
